1. Name the place in Manipur where the Ningthou and Leima ruled?

Ningthou and Leima ruled in the land of Kangleipak in Manipur.

 

2. Why did the people of Kangleipak love their king and queen?

The people of Kangleipak loved their king and queen because they not only loved their people but also the birds and animals.

 

3. Why did the Ningthou want to choose a future king?

Ningthou wanted to choose a future king because his children were now grown up to rule and take his position.

 

4. How did the king want to select their future king?

The king wanted to select their future king by conducting a horse-racing competition among his three sons.

 

5. What kind of child was Sanatombi?

Sanatombi was a lovely daughter of Ningthou and Leima. She was soft and beautiful inside.

 

6. Have you ever seen an animal or a bird in pain? What did you do?

Yes, I once saw a bird lying on the ground while I was going back home from school. Somebody had tried to shoot him, because of which he fell down and fainted. I was painful to see that bird in misery. I picked that bird carefully and brought it home. My parents and I then took him to a vet.

 

7. Where is Manipur on the map of India?

Manipur is in the north eastern part of India.

 

8. Who do you think should have been made the future king? Why do you think so? Who was made the future queen and why?

Sanayaima, the one who jumped over the tree should have been made the future king. It is because he jumped over the tree without hurting him.

Sanatombi was made the future queen because she was the only pain who could feel the pain of the people, animal, birds and the trees.
