CLEANLINESS

I.                   EXPLAIN THE FOLLOWING TERMS:-


1.    Oral hygiene:- oral hygiene is cleaning the mouth and teeth. We should brush our teeth twice daily.

 

2.    Personal hygiene:- personal hygiene means to practise simple healthy habits of cleanliness and follow them regularly.

 

3.    Healthy food:- healthy food means eating a balanced diet including energy giving foods, body building foods etc.

 

4.    Swachch Bharat Abhiyan :- swachchh bharat abhiyan is the biggest cleanliness drive. It is also called clean India mission. Under this program many efforts are being made to make the country clean and make toilets available for all.

 

II.              ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:-

 

1.    What is personal cleanliness? List two ways by which we can keep our bodies clean.

To remain fit and fine, we need to clean our body. This is called personal cleanliness. The ways by which we can keep our bodies clean are:

a.    Washing hands

b.    Keep the hair clean.

 

2.    How should we clean our hair?

Dirt, sweat and dandruff makes our hair dirty we should clean our hair regularly while taking bath. We should use shampoo and hair oil at regular intervals and combing our hair regularly will help us to clean our hair.

 

 

 

3.    Name any three body building foods.

Body building foods are:

a.    Cheese

b.    Eggs

c.     Fish

 

4.    What are the benefits of playing and exercise?

Playing and exercise help us to remain fresh and active. It also keep us fit and healthy.

 

5.    Why is it necessary to keep our surroundings clean?

It is necessary to keep our surroundings clean because unhealthy surroundings spread diseases.  

 

6.    What is the main purpose of swachchh Bharat Abhiyan?

The clean India mission is the biggest cleanliness drive. Building toilets for all, disposal of garbage and cleanliness in villages are the main purposes of this mission.
