  LESSON 4 WINDOW 7   1.   What is cascading? And choose a colour click on enable transparency. Click on save changes button.   3.   Define desktop and desktop icons. The desktop is the main screen. It is the work area where dialog boxes windows icons and menu appear. Most frequently used program seen as small pictures on the desktop are called desktop icons.    

  LESSON 5 WORDPAD AND ITS FEATURES   1.   What is word wrap? While typing text the   curser proceeds automatically from one line to the next line. This feature is called word wrap.   2.   What is insertion point? The vertical blinking line on the screen is called the insertion point.   3.   How will you start word pad? Word pad is opened by using the steps given below: Click on start button, all program, accessories and word pad.   4.   How will you save a document? To save a document, click on the word pad menu button, click on save as option, select the location where you wish to save the document, type the name that you want to give to the document and click on save button.   5.   What is a clipboard? Clipboard is a temporary memory location in the RAM of the computer.

  LESSON 4 OPERATING A COMPUTER   1.   Name any two operating system. Microsoft window and Android   2.   How will you arrange icons on the desktop? Right click on an empty space of your desktop, move the mouse pointer to the view option on the shortcut menu, another menu with several options opens, and choose Auto- arrange icons’ option.   3.   Write the steps involved in changing the wallpaper. To change the wallpaper, we follow these steps: right-click on desktop. Click on the personalize option, in the personalization gallery, click desktop background. Now, click on the wallpaper of your choice and click on save changes.   4.   What is system tray? System tray is located in taskbar and it contains miniature icons for easy access.   5.   What are the main parts of the desktop?
