Some of the things that can be seen from the train windows are Bridges, houses, hedges, ditches, meadows, horses, cattle, hills, plain, painted stations, a child, a tramp, a cart, a man, and a river can be seen from the railway carriage.

The train is ‘whistling by’; the stations are standing still.

 

3.    What does ‘a tramp’ mean?

A tramp is a person who travels from place to place on foot in search of work or as a beggar.
