MS-WORD 2013: INSERT TAB

 

1.         What are clip arts? How are they different from other images?

A Clip Art is a graphic or a picture which can be added to the document. MS Word allows you to add other images which we cannot type from our keyboard.

 

2.       In how many ways pictures can be edited in MS Word?

Pictures can be edited in three ways:

a.       Rotate the Image – we  can rotate a picture at any angle in Microsoft Word

b.       Create Copies of a Picture ...

c.       Remove Background from a Picture

 

 

3.       What is Word Art? How can we format WordArt to make it look more pleasing?

Word Art feature is used to add special and attractive effects to the text in a Word file. We can simply click on a Word Art and edit it using Backspace key and enter the text we wish to type.

 

4.       How can shapes be added to MS-Word?

MS word allows us to insert different shapes such as lines, ovals, triangles, squares and so on. The following steps will help us do this:

a.       Click on the insert tab

b.       Click on the shapes drop-down arrow to ope a list of shapes

c.       Choose any shape

d.       Click on the word file and drag to draw the shape without releasing the button

e.       Release the mouse pointer when the desired shape is attained and then move it anywhere in the word file.

5.       Explain how will you insert symbols and special characters in MS Word?

a.       Click on the insert tab

b.       Click on the symbols drop-down arrow and a list of symbols will open

c.       Select any symbol from the list

d.       A symbol dialog box will appear

e.       We can choose from a variety of symbols here

f.         Click on insert button.
