Odisha lies partly on the eastern coast and partly in the higher parts of the plateau. The state spreads over an area of around 1, 56,000 sq. km.

Rivers like the Godavari, the Krishna, the Penna, the Tungabhadra, etc., flow through the state of Andhra Pradesh.
