 My dear father,

I have some wonderful news to share with you. I have done well in my first term examination, securing the second rank in my class. The achievement record will reach you soon. The first term is over and we have a short break before the second term starts. The school is planning a three-days trip to a wildlife sanctuary. I am very keen to join the excursion. Please send me Rs. 2000/- by demand draft within a week’s time so that I can join the trip. Hope mummy is fine. Convey my regards to her. I will come home soon and spend time with the family.
