WORKING OF A COMPUTER

 

1.      what are the three main units of a computer system?

A computer system consists of three main units:

a.      input unit

b.      processing unit

c.      output unit

 

2.      Explain the IPO cycle?

A computer follows IPO cycle: Input – Process - Output

 

3.      Why is the CPU called the brain of the computer?

CPU processes data and works on instructions to give meaningful information. So it is called as the brain of the computer.

 

4.      What is processing?

After entering the data and instructions, the CPU works on it, processes data and instructions to give meaningful information. It is called processing.
