1.      What is a computer?

Computer is an electronic device which stores a large amount of data and information.

 

2.      Write any three characteristics of a computer?

a.      Computers can work very fast

b.      A computer can store a large amount of data

c.      A computer is a versatile machine.

 

3.      What does the CPU consist of?

A CPU consists of three main parts. They are:

a.      Memory unit

b.      Control Unit

c.      Arithmetic and Logic Unit.

 

4.      Mention any three disadvantages of a computer.

a.      Computer cannot think

b.      A computer cannot take its care like us

c.      A computer cannot take any decision on its own.

 

5.      What is a desktop computer? Explain

A desktop computer is also known as personal computer. It is the most common type of microcomputer. It is used at home, schools, offices, banks, hospitals and at many other places.

 

6.      Name the types of computers.

a.      Micro computers

b.      Mini computers

c.      Main frame computers

d.      Super computers.
