TIME, SPACE AND DIRECTION

1.   How many days are there in a week? Name them.

A week has seven days.

i.                  Monday

ii.              Tuesday

iii.           Wednesday

iv.            Thursday

v.               Friday

vi.            Saturday

vii.        Sunday

 

2.   Write the names of the months that have 30 days.

The months of April, June, September and November have 30 days.

 

3.   What is a leap year?

Each year has 365 days, but every fourth year when February has 29 days, that year has 366 days. It is called a leap year.

 

4.   What are the different phases of a day? In which phase do you go out to play?

One day has 24 hours. These 24 hours are divided into four phases. They are morning, afternoon, Evening and Night. We go out to play in the third phase of a day at evening.

 

5.   What is a compass needle?

There is a needle in the compass that points to the direction we are moving in is called a compass needle.
