CAREFUL HANS

 

1.    Where did the grandmother live?

The grandmother lived in a small cottage near a great forest (in Germany).

 

2.    Where did Hans put the needle?

Hans put the needle in the hay. It was foolish because it would be difficult to find.

 

3.    Where did Hans put the knife?

Hans put the knife inside his sleeve. It was a bad idea because the knfe would fall out.

 

4.    Where did Hans put the puppy?

Hans put the puppy into his pocket. The puppy would not have enough room to move or even breathe!

 

5.    What happened to the meat?

The meat was eaten by the puppy.

 

6.    What happened to the butter?

The butter melted in the sun.

 

7.    What did Hans’ mother call him?

Hans’s mother called Hans a foolish boy.
