PERSONAL PRONOUNS

 

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:-

1.     What is pronoun? Explain its uses.

A word used in place of a noun is known as a pronoun. Pronouns are used to avoid repetition and to make reading and writing interesting.

 

2.     What is personal pronouns?

A pronoun that stands for a person or a thing is called a personal pronoun.

 

3.     How many types of persons are used in pronouns? And name them.

There are three persons used in pronouns. They are:

a.     First person      -           the person speaking

b.     Second person -           the person spoken to

c.      Third person     -           the person spoken of.

 

4.     Differentiate the personal pronouns of the persons.

All the pronouns which denotes the person or persons speaking, are said to be personal pronouns of the first person. All the pronouns which denote the person or persons spoken to, are said to be personal pronouns of the second person. All the pronouns which denote the person or persons spoken of, are said to be the personal pronouns of the third person.
