GENDER

 

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:-

1. How many kinds of genders are there? What are they?

 

Genders can be divided in to four kinds. They are:

a. Masculine gender

b. Feminine gender

c. Common gender

d. Neuter gender

 

2. What is called masculine gender? Give example.

 

A noun that stands for a male person or animal is of masculine gender.

Ex. Man, father, son, dog, etc.

3. What is called feminine gender? Give example.

 

A noun that stands for a female person or animal is of feminine gender.

Ex. Woman, mother, daughter, bitch etc.

4. What is called common gender? Give example.

 

A noun that is used for a male as well as a female person is of common gender.

Ex. Student, teacher, parent etc.

5. What is called neuter gender? Give example.

 

A noun that is the name of a lifeless object is said to be of neuter gender.

Ex. Chair, pen Taj Mahal etc.
