1.     What is a singular noun?

When a noun stands for a single thin, animal or person, it is called singular noun. A noun that denotes one person or thing, is said to be in singular form.

 

2.     What is a plural noun?

When a noun represents more than one person, animal or thing, it is called plural noun. A noun that denotes more than one person or thing is said to be in plural form.

 

3.     How plurals are formed? Give two examples.

The plurals of nouns are generally formed by adding‘s’ to the singular.

a.     Rat           –          rats

b.     Dog          -           dogs.
