There are 3 kinds of nouns, they are
common noun, proper noun and collective noun.

in common to persons or things of the same class or kind. They are called
common nouns. E.g. man, dog, pen, village etc.

Some names are individual or
personal. They are given to a particular person, place or thing. They are
called proper nouns. E.g. Suresh, Rajini, China, Manipur etc.

What is called collective noun? Give
one example.
Some nouns are the name of a number
of persons, animals or things that are similar, taken together and spoken as a
whole. They are called collective nouns. E.g. a group of soldiers, a group of
players.
