video conferencing.
It
is very common practice to speak over the phone and mobiles. In video
conferencing, there can be two or more people talking to you at once. Video conferencing
has proven to be a very successful way to communicate. Even the deaf and the
hearing-impaired people can now communicate with each other using sign language
on video conference.

What do you mean by
the term internet?
The
internet is a massive network of networks, a networking infrastructure. It connects
millions of computer together globally, forming a network in which any computer
can communicate with any other computer as long as both are connected to the
internet.

Define the term URL,
A
URL is the address of a webpage or any other resource on the World Wide Web. A
URL is made up of three parts:

The first part of the address is the
protocol being used.
b.
Name of the server which has the
resource
c.
The complete path of the file on the
server.

What is social
networking service?
Social
networking service is a platform where people with common interests or activities
can connect with one another. We can share our views, ideas, thoughts, images,
videos, pictures over this platform. We can create groups with people of same
interest.

of emoticons?
The
emergence of emoticons came into being after acknowledging the fact that no
facial expressions were seen while communicating. Therefore, emoticons were
founded. They help in telling your mood to others as well as save typing time.

Explain the types of
computer networks in details.
The
following are the types of networks based on the geographical areas covered.
a.
Local Area Network (LAN): a LAN is a
computer network that is limited to a local area such as a laboratory, a school
or an office building
b.
Personal Area Network (PAN): a PAN is a
computer network organized around a person. It is used for communication
between devices such as phones, personal digital assistants, printers, etc that
lie in close proximity.
c.
Metropolitan Area Network (MAN): a MAN
is a computer network that usually covers a larger area than a LAN.
d.
Wide Area Network (WAN): a WAN is a
computer network that spans a wide geographical area. A WAN may be spread
across cities, countries or continents. It is formed by connecting various LANs
and MANs. The internet is considered to be the largest WAN.
